Hi,
My data growth of VMware backups is high, it keep growing whitout any reason.
Even after a reducing of retention versions, no space was reclaimed (expire inventory, reuse=0).
I can see much older backups(3-4 months) via "select * from backups where node_name='Datacenter Node Name' and filespace_name='\VMFULL-VM' " than stated by the mgmt class.
But from Vcenter(gui) and DataMover(cli) I just see the backups according the mgmt class (10 versions for the test server I use to verify), which is what I want to see.
It seems to be much more data stored in the filespace than it was backed up during the last 10 backups (mgmt class), I think it is because somehow the backup server hasn't deleted the old backups, that was older than stated in the mgmt class.
The question is why I see older backups via the select statement? And how can I delete those unwanted backups?
I have an ongoing case whith IBM support(prio 2), but they are very slow to respond (4th day).
Best Regards,
Fredric
