This is a frequently asked question. The trick is the word "notify" which is
kind of deceiving.
It is used for both pre and post processing for NetBackups.
I suggest starting in the sysadmin guide.
I also suggest searching the knowledge database as there are some scripts
posted.

NB5.1 MP1 - Windows 2003

I am still searching, but is there a way for a client to pre and post stuff
for a backup that is run by Netbackup Scheduler?

I'd like the client to stop some services at backup start and restart after
the backup stops.

I know I can script the backup as a manual backup, but I was trying to see
if you can do it when its scheduled by Netbackup.

Thanks

Andrew
