As I have heard, AIC cards are not a good choice when running NW on Linux.
Reason: Adaptec did not support the Linux community for years, the drivers
had been built by reverse engineering.

We changed from AIC to LSI cards, the SCSI reset messages that we
experienced also disappeared then.

Conclusion: Adaptec cards are just fine when running Win32, but only then.
