Hello all,

since the post is some month old - how do you now backup your *.dsk files?
Did you find a way around exporting the files with vmkfstools?
We are using the VMware ESX Server and by now have 400GB of virtual files.
It is quite painfull to export them before backup. So right now we backup
each VM with an Networker Client inside the VM.

URL: www.vmware.com/pdf/ESXBackup.pdf mentions that Legato Networker is
not able to backup files greater than 2 Gigs and therefore one has to use
vmkfstools. Does anybody know of any plans to overcome that limitation?

thanks for any ideas
Regards
Peter
