It can sometimes take as long (or slightly longer) for nsrindexd to
process the changes made to a client's index after the restoration is
complete, in my experience. For example, since I back up a couple of my
filers over NFS to my backup server, its index approaches 2.5 GB. As a
result, an L7 will take "x" minutes to restore from tape and then about
"x" minutes or perhaps "x" * 1.25 to rebuild the index. For this
reason, among others, I've chosen to move my filer backups to a
non-critical backup server so that, in a DR situation, I'm not faced with
sitting around for hours waiting for my backup server's index to be
rebuilt before doing L7s on my customers' machines' indices.

Is it normal for the "nsrck -L7" operation to take ~5 minutes to restore
a single clients 30M index (happening to me now)? I've got 10G of
indexes which means it will take way too long...

Thanks
