I ran the '/usr/OV/service/reset_ci' script and then successfully used SMIT
to change the runtime attributes of netmon.

Thanks James.

Try running /usr/OV/service/reset_ci . See how that goes and then try
your changes.

While trying to update the settings for netmon, via SMIT, I' receiving the
following error:

Working...
Updated /usr/OV/lrf/netmon.lrf
ERROR: Unable to connect to TME 10 NetView NMS (have you done ovstart?)
(OVs
1-16)
WARNING: Unable to register /usr/OV/lrf/netmon.lrf

All NetView daemons are up and running.

I had heard, from a colleague, that this had happened on a previous install
of this version ( v5.1 ), but hadn't seen it until recently. Now I'm seeing
it almost every time I try to change any of the LRFs. This happens if I use
SMIT, and also if I try to run the ovdelobj/ovaddobj utilities.

Any insights would be appreciated......
