Typically if I want to see what backups exist for a given policy I use the following notes:

To see which media / backup IDs etc... were used for a given policy:

  bpimmedia -L -policy <policy> -d MM/DD/YYYY hh:mm:ss  -e MM/DD/YYYY hh:mm:ss

(above is all one line)

where -d = start time and -e = end time range for the backup(s) you need to find.

The policy specified after "-policy" would be the one you see in NetBackup Java GUI.

Note that the range doesn't have to be exact - it can start before the backup  and end after a given backup if you only want to check one day - the idea is to set it so that it only gets one backup.

You could restore it somewhere and see if all the data is there
(really, that's the best way to verify a backup). Or you could run
bpverify on it.
