i'm sure there are a whole lot of files on your systems that can't be 
backed up if you run it as a regular user (password files, config 
files, ...).

or you'd need to add the backup user to every existing group on your 
systems and make sure all users give the group R permissions, or else 
their files won't be backed up ..
