Mark
Are the clients on the same LAN as the Host Server?
>From the Host can you ping the client by Name, IP or make a connection to
the client ?

Is name resolution working ok (DNS for example)?
Are the client machines running the correct version of the Netbackup client
software that is used on the Netbackup Master Server?

I can backup and restore to a server but when I try to access the client
host properties I get a network connection timeout. This happens on about
half of my clients but the others connect immediately. How do this
connection take place and how can the connectivity be troubleshooted.
Telnet, ftp host entries etc seem ok.

Thanks, Mark
