Hello Atif
You need to find out if the problem is a normal i/o error due to a tape drive
problem or a tape cart issue.Or it could be an netbackup issue. Not as common,
but we have seen it.
We do not know what os you are using, but you might start looking for scsi
errors in syslog, dmesg, or the windows event viewer.
You might up the verbose level for bptm to see if you get a little more detail
on nature of the error.
If you are on unix you can mount the tape in a tape drive and use the tcopy
command to read the tape without netbackup.
You can try to use a different tape drive to read the tape. As the tapes and
tape drives are not in binary states of good/bad you might get lucky.
