Yes, I get them from time to time on WIN clients. I have
ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES specified on almost everything. I'm runing Solaris 8
v5.1MP2. Usually the C: drive has already been backed up on another
job. I'd really like to know what causes that. If you find out, please

Anyone ever get an error(71) on a Windows 2003 machine when doing an
incremental backup of C:\?
I cannot seem to track down the root cause of this error.
=20
I had opened a case w/Symantec, they asked me to change:
=20
ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES
NEW_STREAM
=20
To:
=20
ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES
=20
As multiplexing is already the default in 5.1 anyway if your policy
allows for it, this fixed it when I did a test, but I when I watched
backups from over the night-I got the error(71) again.
=20
Any idea?
=20
Thanks,
=20
Justin.
