That sounds like an odd way of doing it.  Why did you take this
approach?

You don't.  NetBackup will automatically delete the images if it needs
the space and the images have been written to tape.  It's up to you to
make sure you stage to tape frequently enough.

There are supposed to be a lot of improvements to disk staging in 6.0 -
the primary one being that it supports multiple dssu's better (i.e.
rolling over from one disk unit to another when the first one fills) and
not failing jobs with 84s when a dssu fills.
