one option is to run the GUI on your workstation, and point it to the
server, rather than running it on the server, and sending the display
back to your workstation.

The better option is to use the windows admin console, or the java admin
GUI on windows.

You'd think the java GUI would run well on Sun, being the inventors of
the language, but damn, it is SLOW on Sun.

I typically log into our SUN master server and display back the
jnbSA GUI to my SUN workstation. I noticed the other day that the GUI
was becoming very slow. I tried going into Actions -> Configure
NetBackup Catalog and it took over 20 minutes for the box to pop up.
I've attempted the task from several other SUN desktops and the result
is the same. =20

We have the Admin Console installed on a PC in our data center
and the same task is nearly instantaneous.=20

I've looked through the openv/java/logs, but I'm not getting
anything useful out of those.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
