We are currently on Windows 2k running Netbackup 5.0.
I am backing up a mapped Netapp share with Windows user profiles, 4,5
million files totaling to 45GB.
This takes way too lang, almost 48 hours.=20
=20
To save time, I have excluded all folders named Cookies. The job is now
only backing up around 2 million files, but it still takes 48 hours...
=20
Why am I not saving time on this?
Is netbackup still processing every file, even though almost half of
them are excluded?
Anybody know of a way to solve this problem?
=20
=20
Another question, when backing up network shares, shoud I map a drive in
Windows and then back that drive up, or should I type in the path
(\\server\share <file:///\\server\share> ) in the policy?
