[Veritas-bu] Re: netbackup mp6 vs fp6

MP6 is a maintenance pack release based on the 4.5 GA that only contains
fixes for that general release. FP6 is a feature pack release that
contains the same fixes as in MP6 but also has new features such as more
ports covered by the Vnetd daemon and the ability to do catalog
archiving. That is off loading your large .f files from the catalog disk
to tape to save disk space. These and other new features would be only
available if you went the "FP" route. And of course the release of 5.0
has even more new features such as disk staging and synthetic backups.
So it comes down to what you feel you need going forward as to which
would be the best release for your NBU environment.

Hi ,
This is probably a question you probably have heard, but what advantage
is
there to running fp6 or even mp6 . Why fp6 vs mp6?
