We ran into same problem before. Check the nsswitch.conf file and set up the
server to lookup DNS prior to NIS+.

Hi,
We have NB DataCenter 4.5 running on Solaris 8. Everything was working
fine until I put in a Gigabit card and changed IP to a different subnet.
I couldn't bring up jnbSA. The error message is Unable to login, status
505. can ot connect to NB-Java authentication service on backup on port
13722.
I checked reverse nslookup, recycled NB process, netstat -a returned as:
*.bpjava-msvc *.* 0 0 32768 0 LISTEN
In /usr/openv/java/nbj.conf
SERVER_PORT=13722
In /etc/services
bpjava-msvc 13722/tcp bpjava-msvc
Thank you for all the suggestions.
