Only one media server knows about the robot number. It is your "robot
control host". The other servers know about that robot control host & get
it to perform the robotic actions for them. Drives are shared, robotic
control is not.

So there's only one robot number per robot & only one media server has to
know that number.

Maybe a silly question, but this is my first foray into SAN attached
backups. I have 9 SSO media servers, an SSO master, and 12 SDLT's
dispersed between 2 robots.

My question is, do the robor numbers need to be different among each
media server, in other words 0-9? Or, will each robot be either 0 or 1,
for instance?

The reason that I ask, is that I've configured each media server with
robot numbers 0 and 1 and when I attempt to inventory one of the robots,
it fails with "robot number mismatch (61)"

Thanks,
Steve
