Subject: [Veritas-bu] jnbSA console missing functionality
I'm running Netbackup Business Server 4.5 on Solaris 8. All of a sudden
when I startup jnbSA it sits at the 'reading host information' screen
for a long time and when the console eventually comes up, only the
'backup/archive/restore' module is there. I don't have my policies,
media, etc. Also, scheduled backups are no longer happening.
If I run available_media it takes a long time to run, but eventually
most of the tapes come up in DBBACKUP status.
I've restarted the netbackup demons with the init.d script.
Here's what is running:
# ps -ef | grep backup
root 8572 1 0 13:46:14 ? 0:00 /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpjava-susvc root
0 -1 C /usr/openv/java/auth.conf 1 8
root 16200 1 0 14:40:45 ? 0:00 /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bprd
root 16222 16219 0 14:40:45 ? 0:00 /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpjobd
root 16219 1 0 14:40:45 ? 0:00 /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpdbm
I imagine it's a simple problem for someone more familiar with the
software. Any clues?
