You can restore the catalogue data to a seperate server then transfer
the image directory to the production server. I have done partial
catalogue restores with this method using tar and the path of the image
I was looking for. Then just ftp'd the image into my production
server's images directory. Worked fine, should also work fine for the
entire thing.
I would just do an standard recover to another box though to save time
since you want almost everything anyway.
