You can query the Image and Fragment list from bpimmedia -mediaid <tapenum>.
This will not list the files on the tape.  There's no easy way to list the
specific files on a tape.  It involves digging through the Netbackup DB
itself.
 
In order to restore NB files to a different server, you'll have to make the
destination a NB client and to an alternate-host restore or you'll have to
restore the files to some client and transfer them using ftp/scp/etc.
 
Theoretically, if you're careful and if you have not multiplexed the images,
then you can skip the NB headers on the tape and do a gtar restore to any
machine that has a tape drive.

 Dear All
 
                I need a little help can any body help me how can I browse
contents or list content of DLT after taking backup on it through netbackup
datacenter 3.4 
like we do ufsrestore -tvf /dev/rmt/0 in unix
 or if I get backup through netbackup and want to restore it in some other
host which is not the client of same netabckup server . how can I do so .
