RMAN binary should be located in $ORACLE_HOME/bin/rman and the
$ORACLE_HOME/lib/libobk.so linked to the Netbackup Oracle Database Library
extension in /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/libobk.so.1 (the interface between
netbackup and oracle).
Note: RMAN (Recovery Manager) is part of the oracle installation.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] rman and netbackup
Quick one, how do I know if rman is installed as a separate thing for
Netbackup? I didn't install the Netbackup I am running currently. I don't
think it has rman installed but am not sure how to check.
Also where do I get rman from and how do I install it and do the Netbackup
side of things.
running Netbackup 3.2 on solaris 8. I have oracle clients and currently the
dbas are running hot_archive scripts and I backup the files produced from
them.
Thanks
Dave
