If you want to use RMAN to do the backups you have to install our extension
product to make this work to tape.

Netbackup for Oracle

If you want to use scripts to startup and shutdown your database and back up
the filesystems then you do not need this extension.

Or you could also use the Block Level Incremental Backup extension software
we have which does a block level backup of your database by putting the
tablespaces in backup mode making a checkpoint then backing it up.

Block Level Incremental for Netbackup

I have Netbackup datacenter running on Solaris 7. The unix
level backup is already loaded on the client. But i also
want that client to backup for the Oracle. Do i need to
install other clients for the oracle backup.
