I will reaffirm what I've heard that the only way to do specific scheduling 
(End of Month, 1st Monday etc;) is to write scripts, however, when I was at the 
Veritas Conference in October I went to several sessions on the Future of 
NetBackup. It is rumored, in song and verse, from the Veritas developers that 
in Version 4 (not to be confused with 3.4) or some release thereafter, there 
may be/could be/might be/possibly be calendar based scheduling instead of the 
current frequency based scheduling. I was excited ... I think. I would also 
like to execute certain types of backups and assign different retention periods 
based on first Monday and last Friday. I hear it's on the way.
