both are excellent (and I believe you mean the P3000,
16 Drives ~300+ slots).
I have clients (running NetBackup) that use both boxes
and hear wonderful reports at both ends.
>From a software standpoint both I've never had a
problem with either.
There are a lot of factors that come in to play when
you are looking at an investment like this.
ATL's PCI bus architecture is nice when you want to go
fibre.
STK's box is nice if you want to have their Eagle
drives.
ATL configures the unit when it arrives on your site
(drives are installed and everything is calibrated).
STK configures the box at their site and ships it to
yours. The re-calibrate upon arrival and test out
drives, etc.
Hard decision...can you place them in a side by side
shooting match?
both offer a web interface i believe for remote
management.
