This would be fine if you have Java 6 installed already.
If you have upgraded from a previous version of MacOS, Java 6 is there
and the links you provided would work.
Mountain Lion does not ship with any Java version now and only Java 7
is available.
I can not find Java 6 anywhere to install on Mountain Lion.
Any Java version 6 I found is an update and the update will only
install on Java 6 update 0.
A catch-22.
