What finally fixed the problem for us was to turn off Receive Side Scaling
(RSS) and TCP Offloading on the network adapter as outlined in Knowledgebase
article esg101078.

Subject: [Networker] 7.6.1 - Savesets hang
Hi,
I have the same issue.
NW server on win2008 R2 64bit 7.6 SP1 build 466
clinet - win2008 R2 64bit 7.6 SP1 build 466
backup is about 4T to AFTD. The backup hangs after 300G sometimes 60G and
sometimes 200G.
Have raised sev 1 ticket with EMC, got their engineering team to look at it but
they still can't figure out what is the issue.
Have disabled TCP autotuning and have made registry changes but no luck
