I'm probably just being dense but...
Our environment -
Networker 7.5.1, "upgraded" from 7.2
Backing up and cloning both to SDLT320 tape
Previously under 7.2, a quick way I could check to see what's cloned
successfully was to run mminfo against a group first to see what backed up
(i.e., "ssrecycle=false", appropriate pool and time constraints, etc.),
then feed each of those SSIDs to mminfo again to see if anything existed
in the associate clone pool for them. By looking at the 'ssflags',
'clflags' and, in particular, 'copies' fields, I could get a good idea of
what clones completed, etc.
This doesn't appear to make sense anymore under 7.5.1. Look at the
following mminfo query fragment:
# mminfo -ar 'ssid,client,name,pool,volume,ssflags,clflags,copies' -q
'group=groupA,!ssrecycle' -t '3 days ago' -oc
ssid client name pool volume ssflags clflg copies

So, I'm looking for non-recyclable (i.e., good) backups in clone-enabled
groupA from the last three days. It backed up and started cloning, but
there were tape errors that halted clones, so I aborted the group. Those
are apparently the client1 "clonepool" SSIDs with clflags of "aE" (the
clones marked "i" are a later command line re-launch of nsrclone). client2
*appears* to have cloned successfully, but how do I know for sure? It
seems that now mminfo includes even the invalid clones when counting
"copies", which I think is different from 7.2. Or am I reading this wrong?
I used 'copies' under 7.2 to see what cloned, but it doesn't appear I can
do that here (or was I wrong even under 7.2)?
**** My immediate biggest question is - How can I reliably determine
whether or not a saveset has successfully cloned under 7.5? At this point,
either a GUI or command line technique is just fine. ****
The completion report for this (aborted) run of groupA doesn't include
anything about cloning? Eg., under 7.2 I could go to "Save Set Recover" in
nwadmin and it would show clones there, but I can find nothing useful in
7.5. The "Show Manual Clone History" dialog (Media | Save Sets in NMC)
isn't really helpful and the output of an NMC Save Set query is confusing.
Thanks for any info - This upgrade is about to drive me nuts and I've
become VERY confused (despite dealing with Networker since v4.x)...
