In addition to 'rendering' the log into a plain text file, 
There is also a setting that can be modified via nsradmin to have the
log written out in plain ascii format, but you loose some of the
localized features the .raw format provides... 
I don't remember the procedure, but I think someone posted it one time
on this list so maybe a search of the archives and/or a search of the
PowerLink knowledge base can find the procedure one could follow to
implement it...
