Hi,
from my point of view it's looking like problem with GSS authentication.
RPC Authentication: Client failed to authenticate using GSS Legato
What version of legato are you using on backup server and client?
Try to disable GSS authentication and use only oldauth.
auth methods: "0.0.0.0/0,oldauth"; (you can setup this on backup server
nsradmin -p nsrexec -> NSRLA)
Please upload the error log from daemon.log(daemon.raw) from backup server.
