[Networker] Question on cloning speed?
2010-01-08 14:49:37
Is the speed of cloning reduced when NW has to clone more save sets that
are all multiplexed than when cloning fewer that are also all
multiplexed? I'm not talking about the total time it takes to clone as
that's going to minimally depend on the total amount of data, just the
actual read/write speed.
For example, let's suppose that there are 10 save set interleaved, and
you're cloning all 10. In this case, NW isn't extracting a subset of
them so would the actual cloning process run at the same speed as it
would if there were, say, 5 interleaved and you were cloning all 5?
