We are having this same exact problem. How die you assign the drive letters to
the system state and hidden system partition.

Thanks,

When we had initial problems backing up a 2008 server (64bit), the
solution for us was to assign a drive letter to the hidden 'system'
partition created when the OS was installed. Once we assigned it a drive
letter, the client backed up without any problems.... Were running 7.4.4
server and 7.4 client for 64bit Windows.
