It's like the tapes are there, but it doesn't recognize the data on
them. 

In other words, I can click on the tape, and it shows all of the "abort"
savesets, but if I try mminfo, or nsrck, it's like they aren't there.

That's strange. Can you recover data from those aborted savesets? When
you use mminfo, do the same savesets show an aborted indication there?
