Note.. we went to 7.3.2 only for the browse/retention periods for clones,
and to my surprise, it is ONLY retention.. not browse. If you're already
doing that through scripts, you'll be better off staying there for a
while.. we were told that the next release of networker will have the
ability to have different browse times for clones.

He's a bit paranoid about 7.2 obsolesce-ing before we migrate. I did
not see any dates for 7.2 in EMC Power link though.
We would like, however, the different browse/retention periods for
cloned tapes. We do that now via scripts.

He's heard great things about it (all from EMC of course). Yeah yeah
blah blah. We have 2 large environments and over 40 small ones. Apart
from the usual client backups, we use RMAN, NDMP for our Celerras
(non-NDMP devices), Exchange, DDS, both dedicated and non-dedicates
storage nodes, and are planning on Powersnap soon.

Leaving aside the numerous negatives you will no doubt hear about 7.3.x,
what feature of 7.3.x is it that your boss feels he needs? If it ain't
broke, don't fix it, and 7.2.x is a lot less broke that 7.3.x.
