If there is such a beast, I'm looking to configure a new box using RHEL
on a Dell rack server. Currently, we are using a Sun V440 with a
Quantum M2500 with 3-LTO2 drives and SCSI connections, and Networker
v7.2.1. The Sun box is used for multiple purposes and the desire is to
have a single purpose box for the backups.

Assumptions:
1) The tape library will be moved to the new server.
2) RHELv3 will be used until a more stable networker v7.3.x is
available, then upgrade to RHELv4.
3) Currently, RHEL and Solaris are the clients.
4) Windows clients will be added in the future.

We have several Dell based single-purpose Linux servers in our inventory
and are quite happy with them. I've read several posts here that
indicate most folks are fairly happy with a Linux/Networker arrangement.
I'm leaning towards a Dell 2850, or maybe 1850, but am uncertain on how
much RAM nor what type of SCSI controller to use. I could use some
discussion, since this will be around for a while.
