How can I run a command on the server that will run an nsrjb command to control
a jukebox connected to a storage node?
Using nsrexec, the same as nwadmin does. The following commands are an example
of how to accomplish this on Unix:

# export RUSER=root
# export RCMD="nsrjb -s servername -j jbname -L -b poolname -S1-10"
# nsrexec -c storagenodename

In our Solaris environment we had one NW server and one storage node with
an identical library connected to each system.

We used the same hardware and architechture model but moved to a DEll 1750
and Redhat Linux.

Previously we could run nsrjb commands from the server to storage node to
query the library on the storage and it worked fine.

Now when we moved to linux it does not work anymore. It gives the following
error:
[root@backup2 root]# nsrjb -Cv
setting verbosity level to `1'
No jukebox selected.
           1: scalar2
           2: rd=backup1:scalar1
Please select a jukebox to use:? [1] 2
nsrjb: SYSTEM error: Input/output error

But all our backups work fine. On asking Legato they said this was never
supposed to work in the first place.

My question to the group is that is anyone running nsrjb from the server to
storage node remotely?

Thanks
