Hi guys,

I got a problem when restoring files for non administrators.

I have checked that the local police on the server/client admit backup
operators and administrators the right to backup and restore files.

You can see below the log when a user without administrator permissions
are trying to restore files to a share where only administrators and the
user who own the home directory have permissions:

Start time: 5-04-04 1:56p
Recovering files of client 'test77' from server 'testserver01'.
recover: Total estimated disk space needed for recover is 415 MB.
Recovering 1 file into its original location
Requesting 1 file(s), this may take a while...
K:\User_F\ftest\outlook.pst
recover: K:\User_F: cannot mkdir - File exists
Received 1 file(s) from NSR server `testserver01'
Recover completion time: Tue May 04 14:00:32 2004

And here below you can see a successful restore on the same share done
with a user with administrators rights.

Start time: 5-04-04 2:02p
Recovering files of client 'test77' from server 'testserver01'.
recover: Total estimated disk space needed for recover is 415 MB.
Recovering 1 file into its original location
Requesting 1 file(s), this may take a while...
K:\User_F\ftest\outlook.pst
K:\User_F\ftest\outlook.pst: file exists, renaming to
K:\User_F\ftest\~outlook.pst
Received 1 file(s) from NSR server `testserver01'
Recover completion time: Tue May 04 14:07:07 2004

Is it possible that this is an NT permission issue with some security
patch upgrade from Microsoft and so how to solve it? I don't want to give
our helpdesk administrators permission only backup.

Best Regards
Mohammed Sager
