mmrecov - to be run on backup server.
scanner - to be run on host which has the drive attached to it.

Hello. I'm not sure about the mmrecov either, but you can definitely
run scanner on the remote storage node. To recover client and media
indexes from a remote storage node library, I use "scanner -I -s
backupserver -f File# -r Record# -S Saveset# \\.\Tape0" or whatever
drive the tape is in. The scanner command won't run (if you miss the
call to the backup server (-s option)) from the remote storage node with
the "rd=" name of the drive.
Hope that helps.
Regards,
Phil.

Again it's the problem about where you are running mmrecov from. I don't
believe that mmrecov or scannner understands the "rd=" notation. I'm not
even sure whether you _can_ run mmrecov from a storage node.
