[networker-6.1.3 on linux-2.4.21]

hi there...

Usually i would think, that this error is related to a 'loss' of SCSI
devices and would check cables and such, and reinitialize the
system.
But:

[root@r2d2 root]# nsrjb -I -E
nsrjb: SYSTEM error: could not determine SCSI ID/LUN for device
'/dev/sg4' (No such device)

nsrjb: SYSTEM error: read failed with 'Resource temporarily
unavailable'on try 9
nsrjb: SYSTEM error: could not determine SCSI ID/LUN for device
'/dev/sge' (No such device)

The problem here is, that there are no devices named sg4 or sge
attached to the system, and there never were...
So, where could networker take these device names and why is it
trying to access them?

There's only the following:

[root@r2d2 root]# grep Attached /var/log/messages
Aug 26 16:54:35 r2d2 kernel: Attached scsi tape st0 at scsi2, channel 0, id 0,
lun 0
Aug 26 16:54:35 r2d2 kernel: Attached scsi tape st1 at scsi2, channel 0, id 1,
lun 0
Aug 26 16:54:35 r2d2 kernel: Attached scsi tape st2 at scsi2, channel 0, id 2,
lun 0
Aug 26 16:54:35 r2d2 kernel: Attached scsi tape st3 at scsi4, channel 0, id 3,
lun 0
Aug 26 16:54:35 r2d2 kernel: Attached scsi tape st4 at scsi4, channel 0, id 4,
lun 0
Aug 26 16:54:35 r2d2 kernel: Attached scsi disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 5,
lun 0
Aug 26 16:54:35 r2d2 kernel: Attached scsi generic sg1 at scsi0, channel 0, id
6, lun 0, type 8

With kind regards,

        Frank Altpeter
