This is correct, the index is not deleted when removing a client.

But deleting it isn't a problem anyway, it is the only way. The most
important thing is to maintain the same client ID, otherwise you will have
the wrong link into the media database and you will have a miserable day.
You cannot afford to get this wrong, you have to get it right first time
because correcting it after the event is difficult and very obscure.

The Tech Bulletin I mentioned earlier refers to Unix. IIRC there used to be
a Windows version, it seems to have been deleted. However they are
basically the same, just the index file locations vary. It would be better
if Legato updated TB138 to be multi-platform.
