You're right, save pnpc is not supported in Netware. We were hoping to
do similar application shutdown/restarts and bothered Legato for quite a
while to confirm that savepnpc wouldn't work, and they also confirmed
it.
Bummer.

All-
[Legato NetWorker 6.1.3 server on Tru64 UNIX, NetWare clients are a mix
of
4.11 and 6.x, all running NetWorker for NetWare 4.21 client]
Our NetWare folks want to automatically shut down their virus checker
when
backups start, and have it restarted when backups finish.
Sounded like a perfect application of `savepnpc' to me, but as far as
I
can tell, savepnpc is not supported on NetWare clients.
Can anyone confirm or refute this?
Thanks!
