Is there a procedure to define "persistent tape device naming" in Linux
7.x and 8.0?
I know that such a project is on its way for the SCSI subsystem in Linux
kernel 2.5.

It happened to us that when one of several existing tape devices was
turned off and the Linux system rebooted the tape device have been
assigned "newly reordered" device names. This of course completely
confused Networker devices definitions.

Thanks in advance,
Itzik
