I suspect your virus scanning software. You might try a backups with the
virus scanning turned off, to test this idea.

Subject: [Networker] level 'incr' saves everything
I have a solaris 2.6/nw 6.1.2 server
nt2000/nw 6.1.2 client
The back up of a specific directory allways results in all data being dumped
even though the level requested is 'incr' and the savegrp summary shows a
level of 'incr' was done.
No , the files are not being updated every night .
This client also exhibits another possibly related quirk . The above
directory must be explicitly referenced in order for anything to be backed
up
. In other words to back up directory xyz on the 'e' drive I must list
E:\XYZ
as a save set.
using 'All' or 'E:\' does not work .
No, there are no .nsr nsr. files on the E drive
