Hi Daniel
The best way (IMHO) to ensure that a NetWorker saveset is readable is to
clone it; this reads the entire saveset, and also makes an additional copy
for offsite storage - two birds with one stone!
NetWorker does an abbreviated comparison when a volume is filled.
The problem with comparing a backup saveset to its data source is that the
data source has probably changed since the time of backup. So the
comparison will 'fail', not because of a backup problem, but because the
source and the backup are no longer the same.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [Networker] Media verification and backup verification
Is there a way in Networker to verify that a backup to a tape was good and
that there was no corruption on the datafiles and of the media? I know it
may be a newbie question, but I did not find an answer to this in my
manuals.
Thanks!
