[Networker] Recovering W2000 SP2 Prof ?

Dears,

Did you give a try to a disaster recovery of W2K Prof/Serv 
using Legato and or Microsoft NT Backup ?

I tried to recover my laptop from an HDD crash and failed
using both procedures :

1) using MS NT backup :
        reinstall W2K prof
        reinstall SP2
        Recover from ntbackup (using force)
recover ran nice but I lost a lot of registry keys and
all of my LAN settings (NIC and ADSL)


2) using Legato Networker 6.2 backup :
        reinstall W2K prof
        reinstall SP2, same hostname, FQDN, same passwd, workgroup
        install client kit 6.2
        Recover from legato (using force)
recover ran nice then after rebooting, I again discovered that, like
using ntbackup, I lost a lot of registry keys and
all of my LAN settings (NIC and ADSL)

Did one of you already ran a DR test with W2K SP2 ?

I gave some months ago a DRP try using ntbackup but without SP.
Does SP break everything ?

I am finaly back thanks to Norton Ghost but I have hard to
believe I cannot recover from 2 valid backups 8-/

Did I forget something ?
Any other ones who met same behaviors ?
