[Networker] Using notification to do failover
2002-09-06 07:26:17
I have inherited a script which is triggered by the notification "tape
mount request 1" to do a failover in case the tape is full.
In order to find out whether this is a request for a writeable tape, the
script uses ps -ef and pipes the output through a series of grep
statements.
This seems not to be working particularly well since the script kicks in
when I recover files and the tape which contain the files is not present.
Any suggestions for how I can detect a tape request for either a save or
read? There is no jukebox, just a single drive.
greetings,
