Are your password "/exchg01_ex" ?
I'm guessing you are using a / to much.
dsmcutil inst /name:"TSM exchange scheduler" /node:exchg01_ex
/password:exchg01_ex /autostart:no /clusternode:yes /clustername:exclus
/clientdir:"C:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient"
/optfile:E:\TDPExchange\dsm.opt /startnow:no

Ämne: Having problem generating TDP Exchange scheduler in cluster
Hello,
I'm having problem generating TDP Exchange scheduler in a Window 2003 cluster
environment.
I got this error message :
Generating registry password ...
Authenticating TSM password for node SGISGEXBE01_EX ...
Connecting to TSM Server via client options file 'E:\TDPExchange\dsm.opt' ...
(E drive is a cluster drive)
Error 2 establishing TSM API session: The password couldn't be authenticated
with the TSM server.
---------------------------------------------
I tried to run the tdpexcc full backup command with password=prompt, I was able
to backup the Exchange virtual server.
I already tried to recreate the client in TSM server, tried to update the
password using update node command, still go this the password couldn't be
authenticated with the TSM server whenever I tried to run the dsmcutil command
to generate the TDP exchange scheduler with clusternode=yes option. Running out
of idea. Hope someone can help me.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Here is the command I used.
dsmcutil inst /name:"TSM exchange scheduler" /node:exchg01_ex
/password:/exchg01_ex /autostart:no /clusternode:yes /clustername:exclus
/clientdir:"C:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient"
/optfile:E:\TDPExchange\dsm.opt /startnow:no
Note: exchg01_ex : This is the instance (node) I create in TSM server.
( dsm.opt in E:\TDPExchange )
