thanks, your way is more streamlined

I basically did that, I ran the nic install from the secondary dos window
after tsm was installed and then i was able to access the server
for the restoration

Yep. Here's what we do:

1) Put your NIC driver install on a floppy.
2) Create the TSMASR floppy as per the instructions in the client manual
3) Edit the TSMASR floppy with NOTEPAD (on another machine), insert the
following three lines at the beginning of the TSMASR.cmd  file:

@echo Please insert vendor NIC drivers disk in drive A:
@PAUSE
a:\setup.exe

I am going through the ASR function of TSM while installing
Windows 2003. The install does not install the NIC driver
and without that ASR wont work unlesss I used backupsets.
I am using a farily new IBM server that uses Broadcom nic drivers

Any one seen this issue before.
