TSM 5.2.4 and IBM 4560SLX
2005-01-10 04:49:24
I upgraded TSM from 5.2.3-1 to 5.2.4-0 so we could a newer kernel on
RedHat Enterprise Linux AS 3.0.
But when I run autoconf in /opt/tivoli/tsm/devices/bin to load the
library kernel module I get the following in /var/adm/messages:
Jan 10 17:25:19 lucien kernel: tsm_detect: it is a not supported device
Jan 10 17:25:19 lucien last message repeated 13 times
Jan 10 17:25:19 lucien kernel: tsm_attach: SDp is NULL or type miss
match

NULL
The kernel modules is loaded (lb.2.4.21-20.ELsmp) and there is a device
in /dev/tsmscsi/lb0, but I can't connected to the library using lbtest.
The library is an IBM 4560SLX.
This was working under 5.2.3-1, but 5.2.4-0 seems to be the only
version with a module for the kernel we are using.
Has anyone seen similar messages using tsmscsi? Any if so, how did they
get around them?
[root@lucien bin]# cat /proc/scsi/lb
#major minor host_no channel id lun inquiry

Cheers,
David
