What platform(s) (SAP DB server and TSM server)? Does your database backup
go direct to tape, or to a TSM disk pool? How many concurrent tapes, if
tape?

My experience is that the restore will take between 1.5 and 2.5 times the
backup time. I've also found that rl-compression (in TDP/R3) and TSM
compression will tend to eat the restore alive by consuming too much cpu on
the DB server during the restore.

Hi all,

My retore takes a several hours ( 1G / Hour). The BD size is 44 G so to
restore a complete BD i need 44 hours. Please give me some advice.

Thank you in advance.
