Do you have data from both sides of the split sharing the same tape volumes?
If not, the Netsttore or its successor could use 'move data' commands to copy
its data to the new tape library, given a period of continued access to at
least some of the drives on the StorageTek library. Even if this is not
possible, there may be an alternative to export and import. The Netstore
will presumably be reconfigured to send incoming data to its new library.
Once this was done, the clients could do selective backups to force new
copies of existing files to be backed up to the new library. The files
in the StorageTek library would all expire within four weeks after that.
